Finding my voice
November 2nd, 2006It has been a busy couple of days, so a quick rundown. On Tuesday we all went to a place somewhere in Birmingham where all the yummy chocolate in purple wrappers comes from. I somehow think that the big person who feeds me had rather a good time there as she is a chocolate monster.
Today, which is actually yesterday as it is past midnight we all took a trip to central Birmingham to show our visitors around and buy nice things for me.
That leads me on to the main element of today’s entry. I now know that the big person who feeds me is not called ‘the big person who feeds me’ whatever hair colour she has. She is in fact called ‘mama’. So there you have it, not very imaginative I know, but my first intelligible word was mama. Just a brief clarification for my English speaking readers. ‘Mama’ is German for ‘mommy’. This is definitely a step in the right direction on developing my oral skills although I don’t think I’ll make the call for speakers at this year Royal Institute Christmas lectures.
Oh, and I still haven’t got a clue what the other big person who lives with me is called but I’ll try and work it out one of these days.
