Another button

January 31st, 2007

Still not got the video blogging thing working :( however I have found a new button. This one is to the DVD player and is very handy to press half way through a film that Mama and Papa are watching.

Back to the video blog

January 27th, 2007

I got my new mobile today. A Nokia N73 (got to keep those Finns in jobs) Anyway, it has a cool video recorder on it so I can finally start doing some more video posts again. Sadly however, my imbedded video system seems to be having problems, so it looks like a long repair job. :(

I discovered a new thing

January 23rd, 2007

There is a button on the television that when you press it turns off the picture and sound.

It’s a lot of fun when Mama and Papa are watching something they really want to watch.

My first wheels

January 20th, 2007

For Christmas my grandparents bought me my first set of wheels. A little three seater with a trailer that I can go buzzing around the living room on. Until the last couple of days, I had to rely on Mama or Papa lifting me on to it. However no more, I’m quite able to get on and off by myself. I’m really enjoying my greater independence at the moment.

One of those big days

January 17th, 2007

It’s rather simple. I took my first steps today. Only two mind you but steps they were. Completely unaided or with any support.

I think this made Mama and Papa very proud of me.

Working on a new skill

January 16th, 2007

I’ve been practicing my standing without holding on to anything skills the last couple of days. It’s not easy but I’ve pretty much got there now. I do however only practice on the bed as it’s nice and soft when I fall over.
Hopefully a few steps will be on the cards soon.

Another good idea from the Labour Government

January 13th, 2007

It’s not been highly publicised but just before Christmas those people who get milk tokens for small people like me also get additional tokens for fresh fruit and veg.

These aren’t big issues but the little ones that our Government is getting right and can really make a difference in both changing eating habits and keeping vulnerable little people away from junk food.

A bit of housekeeping

January 12th, 2007

I’ve been picking up a bit of spam lately which is sad but although I’m ashamed to admit it, I had to ask Papa to help me sort out the problem. A few amendments later and things should be a lot better and very few should get through in the future.

Back

January 11th, 2007

OK, it’s been a while but we’re all back from Germany. Lots of things have happened in that time. I’ve learned how to climb up and down all those step things that take you from one floor in a house to another. I’ve developed a keen interest in destroying anything made from paper. Catalogues and telephone directories are a particular favourite. I’ve also learned how to clap, plays games like passing things backwards and forwards, currently working on my walking skills - down to only one hand of support so far and trying to put duplo lego bricks together.

The people at the health centre still think I don’t weigh enough so no change there, but I’m happy, healthy and active so they can get stuffed.

I’ve also started eating lots of new yummy things like bread, toast, egg although still can’t stand chicken. Chocolate is also a particular favourite and I’ve worked out that when Mama opens a bar it makes a particular noise so I know to go over to her and complain until I get some.

That’s about it for now, more posts coming on all the strange stuff I’m getting up to.
